Apply to Become a Saint Simon Saint

We are pleased that you are looking at how to join the Saint Simon Parish School Family. Below are the steps that are involved in the application process from submitting the application through to acceptance. Apply Online

A complete application includes the online form and the application fee of $75. For students enrolling in grades 2-8, a report card is requested prior to the shadow visit. Once enrolled additional forms will be requested. The forms are listed below. We suggest you gather and digitize your forms so that you can upload them at the time of enrollment.

Transfer applications are being accepted for the 2026-2027 school year through TADS.

New student applications for the 2027-2028 school year will be completed with Ravenna.

First-round applications for the 2027-2028 school year are due by 5:00 pm December 18, 2026. In the first round, siblings of current students and parishioners of St. Simon Parish have priority. After December 18, there is no priority for those groups. Applications will be accepted after this date on a rolling basis pending space availability.

Visit

We offer private tours during the school day several days a week for both our Little Saints Preschool/Prekindergarten and our K-8 Elementary School.  You can register for a tour at the bottom of our Tours page.

PRESCHOOL AND PRE-K

At Little Saints Preschool, we are building a strong academic and social foundation for bright futures in a safe, loving environment. Book a private tour to witness what makes Little Saints Preschool special firsthand!

You are also invited to attend one or both of our Open Houses for preschool-8th grades on November 13, 2026 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or on January 24, 2027 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will offer campus tours on both days along with our grade level presentations. Register for all Open House Events here.

KINDERGARTEN

How I know if my child is ready for Kindergarten? Attend our Kindergarten Information Night to meet our Kindergarten team and our school administrators to learn how to best prepare your preschool child for elementary school!

Joining us in the Fall? Our Kindergarten Visit Day for all enrolled kindergartners is Thursday, May 6, 2027 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.  Details will be sent in the admissions letter.

FIRST THROUGH EIGHTH

We will offer shadow visits and assessments for students with completed applications in grades 1-8 from October through February. Applicants are sent an invitation to register when the application is submitted.  The shadow experience starts at 8:15 am and goes through the lunch period and the assessments are taken after lunch.  Students are done at 2:00 pm.  The experience varies slightly by grade level.  

Assessments

As part of our admission process to kindergarten through eight grade, students take an assessment.  The information helps our teachers with classroom placement and provides a baseline.  The processes for grade level vary as described here.

PRESCHOOL AND PRE-K

Little Saints Preschool offers three classrooms: one preschool-aged class and two pre-kindergarten classrooms.  Applicants to preschool/prekindergarten do not take an assessment.

For the 2027-2028 school year:

To join our preschool classroom, children must at least 2.5 years old and fully potty trained.

To join our Pre-K classroom, children must be 4 by September 1, 2027.

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten assessments take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on January 27– 29, 2027.  All kindergarten applicants with completed applications will be invited for a 30-minute assessment with our kindergarten teachers. You will be invited to select a time once you apply. 

FIRST THROUGH EIGHTH

All students will take an in-person assessment for their enrolling grade level on their shadow day as mentioned above.  Assessments for enrolling first through third graders take about 30 to 45 minutes.  Assessments for enrolling fourth through eighth graders take about an hour.  Assessments can be arranged virtually when necessary. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH PLACEMENT

All students enrolling in the 6th through 8th grades will be asked to take a the Math Diagnostic Testing Project (MDPT).  The assessment will be given on the following dates at St. Simon at 3:30 pm:

May 7, 2027

May 13, 2027 

June 7, 2027

After  enrollment,  a link to register for the assessment will be provided.

Receive Acceptance

Acceptance emails for preschool/prekindergarten will start in mid-January. Enrolling grades K-8 will be sent starting February 1, 2027 for first round applicants. Applicants for grades 1-8, will need to complete the assessment prior to acceptance. Acceptance of the offer for placement and enrollment fees are due one week after the offer is emailed.  All required forms must be completed and uploaded into the TADS system at the time of enrollment. We understand there are some forms you may be waiting for and thus please send us a note of items you need time to complete. After enrollment, you will receive your tuition letter to sign and submit.  Your enrollment is complete upon submission of the tuition agreement.

Forms

The following are forms that are required for enrollment. Some forms will be requested in the application process, but most forms are required upon enrollment. As suggested above, please digitize and upload to the TADS system. We understand that you may need time to obtain some forms. Please let us know that you are in the process of obtaining needed items.

PRESCHOOL AND PRE-K
KINDERGARTEN/FIRST GRADE

Kindergarten:

First Grade:

* The report of Health Examination for School Entry  is optional, but highly recommended. It is helpful to track the immununization requirements.  It can be completed 18 months before or up to 90 days after enrolling in first grade. Enrolling kindergarten students can complete these forms after February to meet the state requirement as it is often most efficient to do this during the 5-year checkup.

SECOND THROUGH EIGHTH
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of immunization records
  • Copy of most recent report card
  • Recent standardized tests for students entering grades 1 to 8 if the current school has them (e.g. I-Ready, Star etc).
  • Tuberculosis Risk Assessment*
    * Required only for students transferring into grades 1 to 8 from a school outside Santa Clara County
REQUESTED FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE CATHOLIC
  • Copy of Baptismal certificate
  • Copy of First Eucharist certificate
  • Copy of Confirmation certificate

Enroll, Pay Registration Fees, and Sign Tuition Agreement

Student are not officially enrolled until the registration fees are paid via the TADS system, the forms are uploaded in TADs, and the tuition agreement in signed. 

The tuition agreement is sent after the enrollment in TADS is complete and registration fees are paid.  

Registration fees for Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten is $300.00. The fee is non-refundable.

Enrollment fees for K-8th grade include a technology fee of and a registration fee.  These are set in the winter and will be around $750.  The fees are non-refundable.

The New Family Summer Kickoff is Tuesday, June 3, 2027 at 5:00 pm followed by grade level breakouts with the teachers.
