25 Years A Saint: A Quarter-Century of Faith, Community, and Learning
Quarter of a century. Two and a half decades of morning announcements, playground laughter, evolving classrooms, and generations of students walking through the doors of Saint Simon Parish School.
When I look back on my 25 years at Saint Simon, what I love most is our vibrant, faith-filled community. What brings me the greatest joy is watching our students discover and develop their God-given talents, from their formative beginnings in our Little Saints Preschool to their confident graduation from middle school. Having experienced Saint Simon as a teacher, an administrator, and a parent who watched my own children grow up in these same halls, I cherish the deep, family-like bonds that make our school so special.
At the heart of my love for Saint Simon is our shared dedication to delivering an exceptional academic experience for our students. Our true strength lies in our ability to work hand-in-hand—as parents, educators, and students—to create a supportive environment where our children learn to approach problems with confidence, treat others with respect and compassion, and develop a lifelong commitment of service to others.
That collective drive for academic excellence bore incredible fruit when Saint Simon was honored as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School in the Exemplary High Performing category. Reaching the top 15% of the nation in Math and English was a proud milestone for me because it reflected the hard work and true partnership of the teachers, parents, and students.
Above all, I love sharing my faith with the Saint Simon family and guiding our students to live out Catholic values beyond the classroom. Whether being an active member of our parish, helping in local charities, joining pilgrimages, or participating in mission trips, my greatest fulfillment comes from putting faith into action alongside the community I call home.
My time here is a living reflection of everything Saint Simon Parish School stands for—a welcoming community grounded in academic excellence, where students are guided by Catholic values, and inspired to lead lives of service. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve this school for 25 years.
